Cydia Installation Problem after blackra1n Jailbreak??? - GSM-Forum

I have the same download errors on one iPhone 3G and one iPhone 3GS after applying blackra1n when I try to install Cydia. I need Cydia because I cannot find some programs on Rock, but also I didn't find a way to manually add sources like in Cydia. Also Rock is having problem when downloading things, because everytime that I open it, Rock displays a message that I need OpenSSL but when it begins to download OpenSSL Package then download fails.
Are you guys having the same problems or not?

OK I found the way to enter sources manually in Rock, but nothing is installing at all. All the things fail.

To install Cydia must use internet connection like wifi.

How would I install sn0w without Wi-Fi connection? In fact only Rock and sn0w are downloading, all other apps in Rock fail to download. (cydia)

Code=-1009 UserInfo=0x1aba70

"no internet connection" or
"lost internet connection", or
"connection reset by peer" one of these error messages is always displayed

Any body with the same error message?

I am having the same issues and i am definately using wifi. Some apps install fine however openssh and cydia, winterboard etc get the same error.

Hey Bro, I had 2 3G and 1 2G last night, 1st 3G went smooth no problem, the 2nd 3G no Wifi after run Blackra1n but I restored 3 more times again, it all came back working like the 1st one, and the 2G I have to restore with 1.1.3.0 7A431 then run Redsn0w for it to work.

ps. if you still having problem, run Blackra1n 2 times back to back and it should work

Still no solution for me. I tried all the Reset ways posted and running blackra1n 2 or 3 times but the same: I tried this on almost 6 different iPhones 3G and 3GS till now, but no chance for me to install Cydia on them!!!

hello GSMman...about the above procedure can i apply it to ipodtouch 2G,v3.1.2, starts with MC model?i cant install cydia via wifi after blackrain and tried all solutions from here.is there a way i can install cydia without wifi?

i mean....like dev team do injections of cydia thru redsnow?

The best way is to flash a custom firmware which contains Cydia.I also faced such problem

I have that same problem. It can be solved by using 3G, iPhone is unlocked if you run blacksn0w so your simcard will work. The problem is however that wifi will work like crap. Downloading from Cydia feels like having a 28k modem and 90% of the time it will say POSIX error. Safari is also slow on wifi and so is App Store. I have a 2G and wifi is fine with it, also with my laptop so my wifi conection is fine. Hacktivated? What model is it?
