HELP - Huawei E156G error "Only the specified SIM/USIM card can be used..." - GSM-Forum

I got an error message of "Only the specified SIM/USIM card can be used on this device!" everytime I plug in my Huawei E156G modem. I have tried the SIM card in another modem (Sierra Compass 885) and it detects the card and connected to the internet succesfully.
I have also tried other SIM card in my E156G, and I got the same problem. So I think it is not the SIM card problem, but the modem.

Then I tried to update my E156G firmware. I got the NCK code and Flash code and when the firmware upgrade ask for a password, i entered the Flash code. The firmware upgrade was successful, but I still got the error message "Only the specified SIM/USIM card can be used..."

I have also tried to update the dashboard to Mobile Partner 11.030.01.04.03 but to no avail.

Does anybody know how to fix the problem?
Did I use the wrong code? (I used the Flash code instead of the NCK code)
Any help will be highly appreciated.

i have a huawei e156g (bsnl 3g) modem wic i bought fm mumbai for mtnl sim, i chked it, its unlocked. wen i tried using the bsnl sim on win7 it gives error 628. and on xp error 619. but i am able to use the same modem with, wirtel, mtnl "delhi sim". i tried updating the mobile partner software as well as firmware. still m unable to connect. i have been googling for long time. but m not still not able to use the bsnl sim on it.

any kinda help iin this regard wd be appreciated friends. plz help

I fix 1 but the problem was hardware. i make a resoldering in sim port and fixed this error.

The error 619 is when the programation APN have problems.

first of all lemme thank u for replying. secondly, i am using dial code *99# and APN: bsnlnet.

This configuration dont need name and pass??

I use another provider... but if you have a same configuration than other modem i dont now why have problem... i was looking in gogle for same apn and found this
Try
APN name----------------------->bsnlnet
Phone number----------------->*99***1#

if SIM Lock status : Locked (Card Lock) & Wrong codes entered : 10 (unlock attempts left : 0) reset counter (reset_huawei_datacard_unlocker.zip)
