| Just to add my 2 cents, this does work but is a pain in the proverbial backside. Once you get to the last stage (where you have to use the "DiamUnlock" program you have a fraction of a second to click on the "Remove SIM lock" (or similar) then commit. In order to make this easier, when you load it hit the "Check SIM lock" button at the bottom right of the screen. This will open a little box that stops the program from coling allowing you to actually use it. It took me countless attempts until I did that but I can say it does work. And it is free. (question is, how much is your time worth?) |

| Thanks to OP! Just downloaded zip files to use on a T-Mobile MDA Compact 4 which I understand is basically the same as a Diamond. The instructions are a bit vague for a novice like me. Can Anyone who has used this 3 step procedure please give me a step by step guide. I have read the instructions but am unsure of the following: Do I run the unlock from the computer by clicking on a box or do I run the unlock from the phone? What do I do with "Diamond -sst. bat" as it is not an executable file? Is running "DiamondCustomRUU.exe" actually flashing a new radio to the phone and do I need to do anything like copy a new radio file after this step? Where do I copy "DiamUnlock.exe" onto in my phone? Can you easily "Unbrick" your phone if you do not follow the procedure correctly? Does this solution work like the "paid for" ones in that there are 3 steps to unlock the phone? Many Thanks in advance! |
